Castell'Arquato

A village of medieval origin, in the province of Piacenza, located in a beautiful location on a low hill, Apennines, the dominant Arda. Lovers of historic architecture, this is the place for you.
It’s in fact very interesting because in the town square, Piazza Matteotti, on top of the hill, reached by steep lanes, are found one beside the other three perfectly preserved monuments from three different eras: The Collegiate, Romanesque building in 1117, The Rocca 1343, and the Praetorian Palace 1447.
Nearby is Grazzano Visconti, neo-medieval complex rebuilt around a fourteenth century castle, at the beginning of last century by Count Visconti di Modrone. It consists of graceful style buildings of the 300 'and 400', disposed between the spectacularly green.
