First suntan at Arenzano and Celle ligure
filled by Giulia
As one of the first countries in the western Ligurian coast, Celle Ligure is an ideal place to go to with its beach for a pre summer. Typical village on the coast of the Ligurian Riviera delle Palme, between the tip of the Elm and Madonnetta, is divided into two parts: Piani di Celle is at the entrance of the town, the most modern and bathing part, then there is the old town, lively until late at night with all its shops open. The two nuclei are united by the Crocetta promenade, the coastal promenade that runs in a few minutes. Here, side by side next to each other, often in the summer months bookstalls discounted titles and curious passers-by in search of novelty. Along the promenade are several places to enjoy a beautiful cool aperitif fresh a day in the sun for those who love freedom, there are those who take the glass and instead opt to sit at the table next to the bleachers. At the beginning of the old town is the church of Santa Maria della Consolazione, with its distinctive two-tone exterior. Clothing stores, food and gift shops entertain visitors during their walk in lanes and alleys, with the scent of basil and hot cakes. Excellent value for money is a dinner at Ca du Ma, in Piani di Celle, overlooking the sea in a beautiful wooden structure that dominates the skyline. All fish, do not miss the sweet and sour sauce in the shrimp skewers. Also in this area, in the church square, a nice little bar mention that produces pizzas and hot cakes all day. The quality of beaches is officially certified:Celle Ligure is in fact blue flag since 2003, for the ninth consecutive year. For lovers of two wheels is to try at least once a path that connects Celle with Arenzano that will give you glimpses of the sea to photograph and a secure plunge.. For those who do not have the bikes you can rent them in Varazze, at a few steps away. If the beaches are too crowded on Sunday and have not booked a parasol in time, it is an idea to move to nearby Arenzano, where the pine forest of the beautiful swimming pool is located at Punta San Martino. The admission price is reasonable, 40 euros for two sunbeds and an umbrella, 20 for entry after 15.00 in the afternoon, but the pastel colors and quiet of the place you will pay back. It seems to sit in the sun in a watercolor, between the white of the clouds and the sun, the light blue of the sea water of the pool, the blue sky and the colors of the sea in the distance. Almost suspended between heaven and earth we forget the confusion of the vane buckets and screams of children and lifeguards chasing them. Absolute peace. From here you can go down with an old cable car down to the beach for a dip in the sea. And before returning back home to the city, we recommend at sunset a beautiful aperitif at Vesima, a fraction of Arenzano, at the Azzurro due. Terrace on the sea is an enchanting corner, when there is live music it seems to be in a Greek island.
