Travelling to Norway, to celebrate the summer solstice

Norway is the ideal destination for those who decide to make a journey travelling alone.
No country is such safe as Norway in summer, where the light is high until midnight! Walking in the streets at any time is incredibly relaxing ...
We suggest to fly to Oslo, stay here one night, or two,to visit the city (not to be missed the Munch Museum) and then take the train to Bergen, the famous town all around the world. During the journey by train through the window you will introduce in the Norwegian nature: dark green, lighter green ... the white clouds, the mountains behind the trees ... the red and white houses, the water of the rivers, of the lakes ... and the snowy mountains. You'll also feel in the train on your skin that the temperature becomes gradually more fresher and fresher…
Despite it is often raining , Bergen has an amazing and charm aspect and its colorful houses that look at the pier are a natural postacard you have to send!
The wooden facades of the buildings of the Briggen , the dock of the city that has become a world heritage site, drawing attention whether they are flooded by the evening sun whether they are wet from rain. To get a perspective from the top, we can take the cable to the summit of the mountain. From there you can go down to the city along paths and lanes. We recommend a lunch or dinner at the fish market: here, as well as all the fish to take home, they also sell ready-made fine dishes of raw fish!
If you like nature and you are curious about the fjords the choice will be to continue north, and if you don’t want to rent a car there are convenient buses that run every day. Travelling on public transport is also easier to meet nice tourists or locals.
About towns, Alesund will astound you with unique concentration of Art Nouveau architecture. Following a tragic fire in 1904 the city was indeed rebuilt in this style in record time by architects and craftsmen who came from all over the country. From June 15 to 16 in Alesund there is the Jazz Festival for the summer solstice.
In the summer of 2005, the Geirangerfjord and the Nerofjord joined the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Nerofjord is the narrowest fjord in the world and is the most impressive arm of the Sognefjord. In a stroke is just 250 meters wide and the impression you’ll get is magnified by the impressive mountains that on both sides rose to 1000 meters.
Browsing the Geirangerfjord you will be impressed by the great waterfalls that are thrown down on both sides and looking at the small modest plateaus on the sides you can see some farm. And yet:
Flam: a spectacular rail journey along the fjord, Sognefjord and the mountain station of Myrdal. The Flam railway line is open all the year and during his course of 20 km covering a vertical drop of 865 meters from start to goal, and is recognized as one of the most beautiful and steep routes in the world
Trollstigen: it ‘s a tourist road with 11 switchbacks that climbs up to Stigrora, 858 meters. The road is carved into the rock and supported by stone retaining walls. From Aldesnes a bus can take you up and then you can decide to go down on foot, a bit on the road, a bit on the trails.
